During our conversation, Ann-Marie introduced a powerful metaphor for confusion, likening it to a frog hopping from lily pad to lily pad in an ever-changing pond. She emphasized the importance of recognizing how confusion feels in our bodies and the need to discern what is real right now, rather than focusing on how things should be or might be in the future.

Ann-Marie provided practical tools for leaders to identify solid ground amidst chaos, such as committing thoughts to paper and using the Wheel of Life to evaluate different areas of life. She highlighted the significance of focusing on a few key areas for improvement and surrounding oneself with supportive people who genuinely care about one's outcomes.

We also discussed the concept of integrity, defined as the "continual alignment of word and action" (I love that definition, don't you?!) Ann-Marie stressed that integrity is crucial for leading oneself and others, especially in times of uncertainty. Clear communication and treating adults like adults are fundamental to calming teams and fostering trust.
